Canada is on fire.

В

The climate crisis is here.

В

Fossil fuel production is growing - with no plans to stop.

Join us as we march to end fossil fuels. Queen's Park, 11 am, Sept 16.

We're calling for change.

В

We recognize that this event occurs on the first day of Rosh Hashanah, and we understand that many people observing Rosh Hashanah will not be able to attend. The date was chosen in response to the UN Climate talks starting that weekend and the international day of action declared by the global climate community - neither of which our local group has influence over. Please know that there was considerable discussion about this conflict at both the international and local levels, and we wish the timing hadnt created this conflict. We will be addressing this matter during the rally and have done so throughout our outreach for the event. Here are some alternative actions for people to take if they cannot come to the rally:

В

  • Call on the Ontario Government for anВ end to the gas plant expansion

  • Ask MPs toВ regulate banks financing of fossil fuelsВ andВ cap oil and gas emissions

  • Support the Migrant Rights Network and join their national call forВ Status for All

  • Join the Land AllianceВ March for the LandВ on September 27 in Toronto and support their efforts to end unwanted mining in their traditional Territories

Status For All Day of Action

On September 17, 2023, the day before Parliament returns, lets unite in massive cross-country actions. Prime Minister Trudeau keeps stalling and we cannot keep waiting. The time for change is now.

We urge groups & organizations across the country to coordinate actions on September 17.

March for the Land

On September 27th, 12 pm 2023 five First Nations from Northern Ontario will come to Toronto to lead a march calling on Premier Ford to end unwanted mining activity on their Territories. These five strong First Nations have formed a historic alliance to protect their lands and waters in the face of mounting concerns about encroachment on their territories by mining exploration companies who have been enabled by the Ford Government.

Stop the Ford Governments Privatization of our Public Hospitals

Make a major show of strength to set the tone for the reopening of the Ontario Legislature. We are not going away.В  We are unalterably opposed to the privatization of our public hospitals. We paid for them. We built them. They do not belong to the Ford government to run them into crisis, gut their core services and privatize them.
